A bit about me... I'm an experienced creative leader with deep strategic knowledge creating compelling brand stories, multi-channel marketing, advertising, video and social campaigns for a broad range of international B2B and B2C brands in many sectors.

I still love the craft of design and creativity, so throughout the senior years of my career I've balanced leadership and management responsibilities with consciously remaining hands-on with design and video editing. This means I can easily jump from high-level ideation, strategy, and creative direction, to deep tactical execution whenever needed. This helps me lead by example and has proven to empower junior members to increased technical ability and confidence more quickly.

 

I describe myself as 'AI-focused', which means I understand and follow the latest developments in the world of generative AI, machine learning and LLMs in general. I advise a cautious approach to its use, as the human element of brand building is still the most important thing. I do advocate its use as a tool to support, but not replace, functions to save time and add value when the results are imperceptible to the human brain, otherwise to me it remains an interesting concept but not the complete solution for authentic brand building.

I have extensive leadership and management skills, using emotional intelligence to coach and mentor team members, while building stakeholder relationships up to C-Suite level. I'm a confident presenter and use high influencing skills to achieve team and business goals, drive new business, and increase organisational profit. I'm very sociable and enjoy building relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and creative agencies.

I am endlessly curious and always bring an inquisitive spirit to my work. I think this helps to establish an environment where creative thinking can happen from everyone, not just those that have the word in their job title.

Outside of work I am married with two teenage daughters, and when not working I like to indulge in my passions of video and craft board games (and am currently designing my own game), DJing and EDM production, mountain biking, and boxercise fitness training from my home office/gym.
